The Madison Studio | Dance Education

The Madison Studio is on the lookout for responsible, pleasant volunteers (teens & adults, male & female) to help our dancers in numerous ways during our performances.

What can you do?  There’s lots of ways:  Please respectfully consider and volunteer now - our dancers & teachers can’t do it all alone!  Thanks so much!  Sign-up by e-mailing jmad5699@gmail.com , or sign-up on lobby board at the studio.

Lobby - Admission/ticket desk (2-3 per Act/performance) day of performance

              Auditorium doors - ticket/admission takers/program distributors (2-4) day of performance

              Flash Camera ‘police’ - monitoring no-use of flash photography during performance (1)

Backstage:  Dressing room and backstage monitors - help with costume changes, hair, make-up, etc. (no males). Accompany the group to the wings & observe them on stage (6 needed) for dress rehearsal and performance

                    Sound Booth - sit in sound booth & press the CD player - ‘on’-'off’ - best vantage point of all! (1) for dress rehearsal and performance

                     Load-in - meet at studio morning of dress rehearsal and load portable floor, props - a few good men (and women) needed! - about one hour

                      Load-out - meet on stage at end of performance to roll up floor and carry props to vehicle(s) - about 20 minutes

Our staff of dance professionals offers a positive, nurturing atmosphere where students of all ages develop proper dance technique as they gain confidence, self-esteem and body awareness. The Madison Studio offers classes for everyone – from beginners of all ages to serious students interested in pursuing a career as a professional. In addition to the annual spring recital event, plenty of performance opportunities await Madison dancers.

We are very excited to be  in our new dance home at  1575 Forest Hill Road, just off Northside Drive, Macon, GA 31210, making us the largest, friendliest, and most comprehensive studio in Middle Georgia!  

Our studio does not run on regular office hours.  We are open by appointment, by classes, or by rehearsals. Please call 478-475-0440 to make an appointment to make sure we are available to speak with you.

  We accept checks, money orders, or cash for fees and tuition - please be advised we do not accept credit or debit cards. Thank you.
